MRD Lighting

MRD Lighting is a Long Island City, Queens lighting design and production studio founded around 2005 by CEO Michael Riotto. The firm blends theatrical and technical lighting expertise with architectural and hospitality design, manufacturing custom lighting products on-site for cruise ships, restaurants, historic landmarks, and attractions, including the THEA Award-winning One World Observatory. Riotto previously worked as a technical and production lighting designer for circus productions including Cirque du Soleil, Cirque Eloize, and Les 7 doigts de la main. The firm has also received a Live Design Excellence Award for Royal Caribbean's Oasis of the Seas and an Archi-Tech Lighting Innovations Award for the Infinity Teen Disco, and counts Walt Disney Imagineering and Royal Caribbean International among its clients.
