PHT Lighting Design

Woman-owned architectural lighting design consultancy based in Manhattan, founded in 2006 by principal Peiheng Tsai, a former project manager at L'Observatoire International. Tsai, who moved to New York from Taipei to earn a Master of Architecture from Columbia University's GSAPP, worked on lighting for Columbus Circle, the Standard Hotel High Line, and the Newtown Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant before founding her own practice. The firm partners with architects and interior designers on custom lighting solutions for institutional, educational, and residential projects, including work for Dickinson College and Pratt Institute. In 2018 the firm received an IESNYC Lumen Award citation in the art-installation category for Wave/Cave, an installation in Milan, Italy created with Mariana Basilio Verdeja.
