Remains Lighting Company

Manhattan- and Brooklyn-based lighting manufacturer founded in 1996 by David Calligeros. Remains makes custom, made-to-order, and antique-reproduction fixtures using traditional metalworking techniques, operating a 25,000-square-foot LEED Gold-certified factory in Brooklyn alongside a Chelsea showroom. The company began as an antique-restoration business, with Calligeros sourcing and reviving vintage lighting and architectural metalwork before shifting into manufacturing original and reproduction fixtures. Its Brooklyn factory houses design, engineering, machining, welding, polishing, plating, and assembly departments, staffed by artists, machinists, industrial designers, and engineers.
