RS Lighting Design

New York architectural lighting design firm led by principal Randy Sabedra, founded in 2008 after Sabedra trained under Howard Brandston at H.M. Brandston & Partners and at Kugler Tillotson Associates. Sabedra has taught lighting design at Parsons School of Design since 1996, chairs IESNYC's NYC Lighting Council, and has received multiple IESNYC Lumen Awards. Sabedra earned a B.Arch. from California Polytechnic State University and completed the IALD Internship Program before his training under Brandston. Beyond Parsons, he has taught lighting at the Art Institute of New York, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and the School of Visual Arts, and he served as IESNYC's section president from 2005 to 2007, sitting on the organization's board of managers since 2008.
