RW Guild (Roman and Williams Guild)

SoHo, Manhattan design gallery and shop from Roman & Williams principals Robin Standefer and Stephen Alesch, presenting original furniture, lighting, and tabletop designs handcrafted in collaboration with artisans, alongside curated pieces from international makers. The Guild opened in 2017 and added an adjoining exhibition gallery in November 2021; a second showroom operates in Brooklyn's Industry City. Standefer and Alesch, a married couple who met while working in the film industry, founded their architecture and design practice Roman & Williams in 2002 before opening the Guild fifteen years later. The SoHo space connects through an arched passageway to La Mercerie, a French cafe with cuisine by chef Marie-Aude Rose, and the Guild's accessories include curated pottery and sculpture sourced from France, Sweden, and Japan.
