Manhattan architectural lighting design firm founded in 2006 by Bill Schwinghammer after 19 years as a partner at Johnson Schwinghammer. Based in the West Village with a second office in Miami, the practice designs lighting for residential towers, hotels and restaurants, spas, retail, corporate environments, and historic and civic buildings. Notable projects include 53 West 53rd Street, the Woolworth Tower Residences, 56 Leonard Street, and the Ritz Paris, along with retail and hospitality clients such as Tiffany & Co., Bergdorf Goodman, and the Carlyle hotel. The firm also operates an affiliated fixture showroom and gallery, SL.gallery.
