Sheila Bridges Design

Sheila Bridges is a Harlem-based interior designer who moved to New York in 1986 and opened Sheila Bridges Design, Inc. in 1993. Named America's Best Interior Designer by Time magazine and CNN, she is recognized for her classic yet versatile design aesthetic and narrative-rich interiors. Her projects include the Harlem offices for former President Bill Clinton, the redecoration of One Observatory Circle for former Vice President Kamala Harris, and design work at Columbia University and Princeton University. Bridges is the creator of the iconic Harlem Toile de Jouy pattern. Her designs are included in the permanent collections of the Brooklyn Museum, the Smithsonian Cooper-Hewitt National Design Museum, the National Museum of African American History and Culture, and The Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
