The New Motor

The New Motor is a full-service fabrication studio with two Brooklyn workshops, based in Red Hook, building custom installations, displays, and mechanical pieces for artists, designers, brands, and architects. Capabilities span metalworking, CNC fabrication, woodworking, laser cutting, pipe bending, and plastics fabrication, alongside in-house engineering, drafting, and project management. Led by partner Jorge Parreira, the studio has fabricated projects for clients including Aesop, Kith, Proenza Schouler, Glossier, Adidas, Rivian, The New York Times, Japan Society, and Wolf Gordon, and has worked on public installations including the Unisphere in Flushing Meadows Corona Park and the Flatiron Reflection piece in Manhattan.
