Uhuru Design

Uhuru Design is a Brooklyn-based furniture design and manufacturing firm founded in 2004 by RISD graduates Bill Hilgendorf and Jason Horvath, working out of Red Hook. Known early on for reclaimed and found materials, the studio has expanded from bespoke residential furniture into workplace, hospitality, and commercial commissions, with pieces held in the Smithsonian and Brooklyn Museum collections.
