Urban Homecraft

Urban Homecraft is a small, bespoke woodworking and design-build studio based at the Brooklyn Navy Yard, producing custom cabinetry, built-ins, kitchens, and furniture in wood with brass and metal accents. The studio manages residential renovation projects from design through installation and has received a Best of Houzz client-satisfaction award. Founded in 2007 by George Evageliou after a decade working in woodworking, the studio grew out of his own built-in renovation of a small East Village apartment and gained early traction through a referral from Apartment Therapy founder Maxwell Ryan, who later commissioned custom cabinetry from the shop. Projects range from marble-topped desks and floor-to-ceiling bookshelves to fluted, lit cabinetry, worked in wood species such as white oak and wenge alongside marble and brass fittings.
