Voidfill Studio

Lighting MakerEst. 2020

Brooklyn-based design studio run by Sebastian Bidegain, producing small-batch lighting fixtures alongside jewelry and functional objects that combine cast glass, spun brass, and digital fabrication techniques. Founded in 2020, the studio has shown work including the Starburst Sconce and exhibited at ICFF, selling through its own site and design marketplaces such as Adorno. Bidegain, whose background spans sculpture, design, technology, and the natural sciences, describes the practice as an object laboratory where pieces emerge from experiments with electronics, electrochemistry, and digital fabrication. Beyond lighting, the studio has produced the Ångstrom ring, a Globular chair, a cast-concrete Arch lamp, and woven blankets. The Starburst Sconce, a cast-glass and spun-brass fixture housing a warm LED core, has been issued as a numbered limited edition of ten pieces.
