Yasanche

Mumbai-based furniture design studio founded in 2013 by Yashesh Virkar, producing hand-crafted, made-to-order chairs, tables, and objects in charred wood, cast aluminum, acrylic, and stainless steel. Pieces draw on decorative arts and natural forms, often referencing Indian cultural motifs. Virkar, who was born and raised in Mumbai, earned a degree in product design from Raffles College of Higher Education in Singapore in 2008 and worked as a design assistant to furniture designer Christopher Guy before founding his own practice.
