Aiden Bowman

Brooklyn-based designer, co-founder with Josh Metersky of Trueing, a studio producing hand-crafted lighting and furniture in brass and glass. The pair's debut piece, the Janus lamp, won the Emerging Designer award at ICFF in 2017; later work includes the Cerine lighting series and the Lescaze Chair, a tribute to architect William Lescaze. Bowman studied art history at St. Andrews University and worked in marketing communications for architecture firm BIG before co-founding Trueing with Metersky, a Tufts-trained mechanical engineer who had designed fixtures for other lighting studios. Trueing's fixtures are hand-fabricated in-studio from precisely worked metal and glass, and the studio went on to receive an A/D/O design residency and a spot on Sight Unseen's American Design Hotlist in 2018; its work has been covered in Architectural Digest, Wallpaper*, and Dezeen.
