Principal, Founder at Ampersand Architecture

Amy Lopez-Cepero is principal and founder of Ampersand Architecture in Manhattan, which she established in 2014. She holds a BFA and BBA from Southern Methodist University and a Master's in Architecture from the University of Pennsylvania, where her thesis earned the Phillip Crete Gold Medal and other honors. Before founding Ampersand, she spent 18 years at Specht Harpman as a senior project architect working on commercial interiors and high-end residential projects along the East Coast and Caribbean, and was a founding partner of OLO Studio in New York. Her work has been featured in Interior Design and Architectural Digest and has won awards from AIA New York, Architectural Record, Wired, and ID Magazine. She is NCARB-certified and licensed in New York, Connecticut, and New Jersey.
