Designer & Artist at Emma Scully Gallery

Serbian-American designer, photographer, and artist who splits her time between New York and Paris. A graduate of the University of Applied Arts in Belgrade, she is known for the Bonbon table lamp and other furniture and lighting objects alongside a parallel practice in photography and fashion collaborations. Born in Belgrade in 1984, Kraš studied furniture design and won the Young Balkan Designers contest in her final year, exhibiting a plywood chair called Hug at the Salone del Mobile in Milan; she settled in Manhattan in 2013. Her Bonbon lamp, produced by the Danish company Hay, is handmade by wrapping wire frames in recycled fashion-industry thread, alongside her tables, chairs, wallpaper, mirrors, and swimwear designs and fashion collaborations with Maison Margiela and Études Studio. She is represented in New York by Emma Scully Gallery.
