Angel Ayón

Angel Ayón, AIA, LEED AP, NCARB, is the founder and principal of AYON Studio Architecture and Preservation in New York City, which he established in 2013. Trained as an architect and preservationist in Havana and New York, he has more than 25 years of experience conserving historic architecture using contemporary, sustainable, and resilient approaches. He served as project architect on the rehabilitation of Frank Lloyd Wright's Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum from 2004 to 2008 and co-authored the book Reglazing Modernism. He serves on the boards of Save Harlem Now!, the Historic Districts Council, and the Preservation League of New York State.
