Brad Davis

Painter and co-founder of Fort Street Studio, a hand-knotted carpet and textile studio he leads with his wife Janis Provisor from its New York showroom. The pair translate their watercolor and mixed-media paintings into wild-silk and wool rugs woven by artisans abroad, a technique that helped popularize free-form, painterly patterns in the carpet industry. Their work is held in the Whitney Museum and Brooklyn Museum, and profiled in the 2021 Rizzoli monograph The Tale of Warp and Weft.
