Bae Sehwa

South Korean furniture designer known for steam-bent wood seating and casework informed by the concept of baesanimsu, pairing curved, mountain-ridge and river-like forms across a piece's back and front panels. Sehwa gained international recognition at Design Miami/Basel in 2010, seeking what he describes as a balance of moderation and harmony between material and artistic vision. Represented in New York by R & Company gallery.
