Basil Walter

Basil Walter, AIA, is founding partner of BWArchitects (BWA), a New York architecture, design, and fabrication studio. A graduate of the Rhode Island School of Design, he began his career as a painter before founding his architecture practice in 1984, whose early work included the restoration of highly detailed interiors at the historic Dakota Apartments on Manhattan's Upper West Side. His practice spans historic preservation and contemporary residential, commercial, and hospitality design.
