Calvin Tsao

Calvin Tsao, FAIA, is a founding partner of TsAO & McKOWN Architects in New York. He holds a Master of Architecture from Harvard University's Graduate School of Design, where he received the AIA Henry Adams Gold Medal, and a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley. He has taught at Harvard GSD, Cooper Union, Syracuse University, and Parsons School of Design, and chairs the board of the American Academy in Rome. With partner Zack McKown, he received the 2022 AIA New York Medal of Honor and the 2009 National Design Award from the Cooper Hewitt, Smithsonian Design Museum.
