Caroline Zimbalist

Long Island City, Queens-based artist and designer who hand-molds biodegradable bioplastics into one-of-a-kind vessels, jewelry, and sculptural garments. A Parsons-trained fashion and textile designer who also studied at Central Saint Martins, Zimbalist works from her home studio, mixing her own biomaterial recipes on a stovetop before shaping them over fabric and custom molds. Her vessels are carried by Love House in New York and sold at the Whitney Museum store.
