Deborah Nevins

Deborah Nevins is a landscape designer and founder and president of Deborah Nevins & Associates, a SoHo-based firm she started in 1991, and a principal of Nevins & Benito Landscape Architecture. She began working in landscape design while studying architectural history at Columbia University in the 1980s. Her firm's notable work includes the 40-acre Stavros Niarchos Foundation Cultural Center and Park in Athens, developed with Renzo Piano Building Workshop, the campus expansion of the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, and the Pritzker Garden at the Art Institute of Chicago's Piano-designed Modern Wing. A historian of landscape and architecture, she lectures widely and has contributed to numerous books and journals.
