Gary Handel

Gary Handel, FAIA, is the founder and Managing Partner of Handel Architects, which he started in 1994 and has grown into a firm of more than 150 architects, designers, and planners. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cornell University. His practice emphasizes sustainable, urban-focused residential design, including some of the largest and tallest Passive House buildings in the world, with projects across the United States, Latin America, the Middle East, and Asia. Handel is a founding board member of Friends of the High Line.
