Guy Corriero is a Brooklyn-based sculptor who began working in clay in 2011 after two decades as a painter. Self-taught in ceramics, he hand-forms and fires vessel-like sculptures -- vases, chandeliers, and decorative objects -- in ceramic and plaster, building up dense, cascading glazes and anthropomorphic forms with arm-like appendages. Born in New York in 1960, he holds a BFA and MFA from the School of Visual Arts and is represented by The Future Perfect gallery.
