Hansel Bauman

Hansel Bauman is a partner and Sensory Design Lead at Joel Sanders Architect in New York. He founded the firm HB/a+p and served as adjunct faculty and campus architect at Gallaudet University. In 2006 he co-founded the DeafSpace Project, developing the DeafSpace Design Guidelines, a catalogue of more than 100 architectural principles addressing deaf spatial needs, which received the International Association of Universal Design Gold Award in 2015. His work has been exhibited at the Cooper Hewitt and the National Museum of American History.
