Joel Sanders Architect

Joel Sanders Architect, PLLC was founded in New York by principal Joel Sanders in 1989, merging architecture, interiors and landscape design. The practice specializes in residential and institutional commissions as well as ecological projects, and has received AIA New York State and New York City Awards of Excellence, with work held in the permanent collections of the Museum of Modern Art in New York, SFMOMA, and the Carnegie Museum of Art. In 2018 Sanders founded MIXdesign, an inclusive-design branch of the practice that now operates as JSA/MIXdesign; he is also Director of Post-Professional Studies and a professor at Yale School of Architecture.
