Hayes Slade

Hayes Slade, AIA, is co-founder, with James Slade, of Slade Architecture, established in 2002 in New York. Her practice has ranged from a doghouse that won an AIA National Small Project Award to an eight-acre Staten Island masterplan, with clients including Virgin Atlantic, Mattel, W Hotels, and the Aperture Foundation. She has served over a decade in NYC's Design Excellence Program, co-authored HPD affordable-housing design guidelines, and was AIA New York's 2019 president. She teaches at Parsons School of Design and holds engineering degrees from Cornell University and an MBA from the Wharton School.
