Founder, Hiroko Takeda Studio at Colony

Brooklyn-based textile artist and weaver originally from Japan, running her own studio since 2010 after training in Japan's Mingei craft tradition and at the Royal College of Art, and after working as a senior designer at the Jack Lenor Larsen studio. Takeda produces sculptural, hand-woven textiles in silk, wool, and other natural fibers for residential and commercial interiors; her work is also carried by the NYC gallery Colony.
