Julia Rothman

Illustrator and surface-pattern designer working from her home studio in Park Slope, Brooklyn. Rothman turns hand-drawn illustrations into patterns for wallpaper, bedding, fabric, and housewares for clients including Anthropologie, Crate & Barrel, and Target, alongside editorial work for The New York Times and The New Yorker. She has authored or illustrated a dozen books and teaches surface design at the School of Visual Arts.
