Karin Kohlhaas, AKH, is a principal on the management team of 1100 Architect's Frankfurt office, which she joined in 2013, focusing on public-sector work including educational buildings, subsidized housing, and municipal infrastructure. She studied architecture at the Technical University of Darmstadt and the University of Strathclyde in Glasgow, began her career in Frankfurt in 2000, and later worked as a research associate at the Technical University of Kaiserslautern. Projects she has overseen include construction on the US Army site in Wiesbaden and the Kleine Weltentdecker daycare center in Niddatal, completed in 2025. She has been registered with the Chamber of Architects and Urban Planners of Hesse since 2000.
