Katie Ridder founded her New York interior design studio in 1991 after working as an editor at House & Garden and House Beautiful magazines. Known for rooms that mix pattern, color, and traditional and modern elements, her work has appeared on House Beautiful's and Elle Decor's top-designer lists. She published the book Rooms in 2011 and designs a line of fabric and wallpaper carried by Holland & Sherry. She is married to architect Peter Pennoyer, with whom she co-authored A House in the Country (2016).
