Founding Principal at SHoP Architects

Kimberly Holden was a Founding Principal of SHoP Architects, established in 1996 with Gregg Pasquarelli, Christopher Sharples, Coren Sharples, and William Sharples. As Managing Principal, she guided the firm's strategic development and operations as it grew from five to over 200 people, leading cultural and academic project teams for clients including Columbia University's School of the Arts, the Fashion Institute of Technology, and SITE Santa Fe. She also led pro-bono prototype school designs for Kids of Kathmandu following Nepal's 2015 earthquake. She holds a BA in Art History from the University of Vermont and a Master of Architecture from Columbia University's GSAPP.
