Matthew Byrd

Raleigh, North Carolina-based sculptor who hand-carves interlocking forms from salvaged granite and dolerite, trained in traditional stonemasonry. His stone benches, lamps, and figurative sculptures have been shown at Love House in New York, most recently in the gallery's 2025 Dimes Square inaugural group show, and exhibited at North Carolina galleries. He completed a residency at the Centro Internazionale di Scultura in Peccia, Switzerland.
