Mustafa Abadan

Mustafa Kemal Abadan is a Design Partner at Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), where he has practiced architecture for over 40 years in New York with a worldwide portfolio. His notable projects include the Islamic Cultural Center of New York, Time Warner Center, and CUNY John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York, as well as Tokyo Midtown in Japan, Guoco Tower in Singapore, and AIA Tower in Hong Kong. He holds a Bachelor of Architecture (1982) and a Master of Architecture in Urban Design (1984) from Cornell University, was elected a Fellow of the AIA in 2007, and received a 2016 Ellis Island Medal of Honor. He has lectured and served as a design critic at Cornell, Harvard's Graduate School of Design, and Columbia University.
