Michael Manfredi is co-founder of WEISS/MANFREDI, the New York architecture, landscape, and urban design practice he formed with Marion Weiss in 1989 after winning the competition for the Women's Memorial at Arlington National Cemetery. Born in Trieste, Italy, and raised in Rome, he earned a Master of Architecture from Cornell University, where he studied under Colin Rowe. He is a senior design critic at Harvard University. The firm's work includes Seattle's Olympic Sculpture Park, the Brooklyn Botanic Garden Visitor Center, and Hunter's Point South Waterfront Park.
