Nana Spears is co-founder and creative director of Fort Makers, a Brooklyn art and design studio she started in 2008 with Naomi Clark and Noah Spencer, working from a Clinton Hill studio since 2009. The collective makes hand-painted and dyed textiles, sculptural lighting, and collectible furniture, and Spears oversees creative direction, production, and curation across the studio's collaborations and exhibitions. She previously worked as an assistant buyer at Barneys New York.
