Nanako Umemoto

Nanako Umemoto is a Principal and co-founder of Reiser + Umemoto, RUR Architecture in New York, established with Jesse Reiser in 1986. She holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Cooper Union (1983) and studied urban design and landscape architecture at Osaka University of Art. She is a Professor of Practice at Washington University in St. Louis and has taught at Harvard, the University of Pennsylvania, Columbia, EPFL Lausanne, the University of Hong Kong, and Kyoto University, and received a USA Booth Fellowship from United States Artists for Architecture and Design.
