Oscar Shamamian is a founding partner of Ferguson & Shamamian Architects, a New York firm specializing in traditional residential architecture, which he co-founded with Mark Ferguson in 1988. He earned a Bachelor of Arts from Columbia College in 1981 and a Master of Architecture from the Columbia University Graduate School of Architecture and Planning in 1985, and began his career at Robert A.M. Stern's office before joining Parish-Hadley Associates.
