Founding Principal at Smith & Thompson Architects

Phillip Smith is Founding Principal of Smith and Thompson Architects in New York, a firm he established with Douglas Thompson after the two met as students at Columbia University's GSAPP in the late 1960s. He holds a BA and Master of Architecture from Columbia and previously worked at Giovanni Pasanella Architects, William Pereira Associates, Architects Team 3 in Singapore, and Maki and Associates in Tokyo. A registered architect in New York and New Jersey and an AIA member, he has taught at CCNY and served as a visiting critic at Columbia.
