Renate Müller

Sonneberg, Germany-based designer known for hand-produced Rupfentiere (jute animal) toys originally developed in the 1960s for therapeutic and orthopedic use in clinics and schools. A graduate of the Sonneberg College for Applied Arts, Müller has owned the rights to her designs since 1990 and continues to hand-produce limited quantities of historic and new pieces from her Sonneberg studio. She is represented in New York by R & Company.
