Richard Bloch

Richard Bloch is founder of Richard Bloch Architects, established in New York in 1986, with three decades of experience in restaurant and hospitality design. A graduate of Pratt Institute with a bachelor's degree in architecture, he was also a Fulbright Scholar in Turkey and worked as a city planner in Iran. His projects include Shuko, a sushi restaurant blending Japanese design with exposed New York brick; State Grill and Bar in the Empire State Building, evoking a 1931 Art Deco style; Le Bernardin in New York; and Benu in San Francisco.
