Richard Garber

Richard Garber is a founding partner of GRO Architects in New York and a faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania's Weitzman School of Design. His practice emphasizes integrating emerging technologies, including Building Information Modeling, into architectural design. He is the author of several books, including BIM Design: Realizing the Creative Potential of Building Information Modeling (Wiley, 2014) and Building Futures: Technology, Ecology, and Architectural Practice (Wiley, 2023). Garber holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master of Science in Advanced Architectural Design from Columbia University's GSAPP, previously worked at SHOP Architects and Greg Lynn FORM, and is a licensed architect in New York, Colorado, Connecticut, Florida, and New Jersey.
