Richard Gluckman, FAIA, founded his architectural practice in New York City in 1977 and leads Gluckman Tang Architects, known for designing spaces for artists, public arts institutions, galleries, and collectors, guided by a philosophy of architecture as a frame for art and human activity. He has taught at Harvard, Yale, the University of Pennsylvania, Parsons, and Syracuse University. His honors include the Cooper-Hewitt National Design Award and the Interior Design Hall of Fame Award, and he has served on boards including the Andy Warhol Foundation and Socrates Sculpture Park. He holds degrees from Syracuse University, which awarded him its George Arents Award in 2006.
