Richard McElhiney

Richard McElhiney, AIA, is principal and founder of Richard McElhiney Architects LLC, a New York-based architecture firm serving educational, civic, and cultural institutions, workplaces, and private residences. He earned a BA cum laude with distinction in architecture from Yale College in 1975 and a Master of Architecture from the Yale School of Architecture in 1979. He spent nineteen years at Kliment Halsband Architects, becoming an Associate Partner in 1992, before founding his own practice, and has practiced architecture for over four decades.
