Robert A.M. Stern was the founding partner of Robert A.M. Stern Architects. He earned a bachelor's degree from Columbia University in 1960 and a Master of Architecture from Yale in 1965, later teaching at Columbia's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning and Preservation from 1970 to 1998 before serving as Dean of the Yale School of Architecture from 1998 to 2016. His firm's major works include 15 Central Park West, two residential colleges at Yale, and Philadelphia's Museum of the American Revolution. He authored and edited numerous books on architecture, including a multivolume history of New York City architecture, and hosted the PBS series "Pride of Place."
