Co-Founder & Creative Director at Workstead

Co-founder, with wife Stefanie Brechbuehler, of Brooklyn design studio Workstead, established in 2009 and later joined by principal Ryan Mahoney. A Rhode Island School of Design graduate who also holds a degree from Furman University, Highsmith worked on residences with designer Asher Israelow before Workstead. The studio's early commercial work included Brooklyn's Wythe Hotel (2012) and Charleston's The Dewberry, alongside a widely carried lighting collection.
