Co-founder at Roman and Williams

Robin Standefer is co-founder of the New York design studio Roman and Williams, established in 2002 with partner Stephen Alesch. The two met in 1992 while working in film, Standefer as a production designer, and went on to design roughly twenty films together, including Zoolander and Practical Magic, before Ben Stiller hired them to design his Los Angeles home, prompting them to found their own practice. Roman and Williams has since designed the Ace Hotel New York and the Boom Boom Room at the Standard, High Line.
