Founder, Stephen Burks Man Made at Stephen Burks Man Made

Stephen Burks is an industrial designer and founder of Stephen Burks Man Made, a studio based at the Brooklyn Navy Yard that he runs with partner Malika Leiper. The studio designs furniture, lighting, and products that pair hand-craft techniques with industrial production, frequently through collaborations with artisans internationally, and has produced projects with Friedman Benda. Burks received the Cooper Hewitt National Design Award in Product Design.
