Artist & Basketmaker at Superhouse

Basketmaker and sculptural artist who works between Burnsville, North Carolina, and Dallas, Texas, drawing on her upbringing in South Texas's Rio Grande Valley. Westrup weaves natural and synthetic fibers into sculptural basket forms that explore movement, containment, and cultural identity. She holds an MFA in Fiber Arts from the University of North Texas and is a represented artist at Superhouse gallery in Manhattan.
