Serban Ionescu

Brooklyn-based artist and designer who translates freehand, cartoon-like drawings into steel sculpture and furniture using CNC waterjet and plasma cutting. Born in Romania and raised in New York from age ten, Ionescu holds a Bachelor of Architecture from Pratt Institute and previously taught at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute's School of Architecture. His work, including the outdoor pavilion Chapel for an Apple, is represented in New York by R & Company.
